Dhanush Dhanush began his acting career in 2002 in the Tamil film industry and his run as an actor has been a mix of hit and miss.

Basics on Dhanush
Dhanush was born as Prabhu Kasturirajan on 25th February 1984 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. His father is Kasturirajan, a Tamil film director. His brother Selvaraghavan, is also a director and is married to actress Sonia Aggarwal who was Dhanush’s co-star. He has two older sisters.

Dhanush’s wife is Aishwarya Rajnikanth, superstar Rajnikanth’s wife. They have a son named Yathra.

Dhanush’s Movies
Dhanush made a lukewarm debut with Thulluvadho Ilamai in 2002 that was directed by his father Kasturi Raja and starred Sherin. In 2003, he was seen his brother Selvaraghavan’s directorial debut Kaadhal Kondein which was a big success and carried over to his next movie Thiruda Thirudi too.

Both his releases, Sullan and Dreams, failed in 2004. His movies didn’t rise to hit status in 2005 with Devathaiyai Kanden and Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam. He worked with his brother in Pudupettai in 2007 and as Thiru in Thiruvilayadal Arambam with Shriya Saran. The movie was produced by his sister Dr. Vimala Geetha and was a success.

In 2007, while Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram failed, Polladhavan based on The Bicycle Thieves did well commercially as did his movie Yaaradi Nee Mohini in 2008. He was part of a song sequence in Kuselan that starred his father in law Rajnikanth. His movies planned for a 2009 release are Padikathavan, Idhu Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam and Kadhir.
