Dhanush has always been inspired by his father-in-law's movies. And why not? Imitation, even if it is only in the title, is the best form of flattery and it definitely is an honour to flatter someone like Rajinikanth.
After Pollaadhavan and Padikaathavan, Dhanush will appear in one more film whose title is borrowed from father-in-law Rajinikanth's film, Pokkiri Raja. Raj TV will produce this movie that marks the directorial debut of cinematographer R.D. Rajasekar.
Besides this, Dhanush is also busy in the shooting of Aayirathil Oruvan which has been in production for over 18 months. He will so be doing Idhu Malai Nerathu Mayakkam (IMNM), a quickie for elder brother director Selva, produced by his home banner. IMNM will star Andrea as the heroine and will have G.V. Prakash's music, cinematographer Ramji and editor Kola Bhaskar.
Dhanush also nurses ambitions of becoming a director in his own right, though right now, he's honing his acting skills and says that maybe 2010 will see his directorial dreams becoming a reality.
